Another Wolverine stumbles in....

Recommended Posts

Been checkin' out this site for a while, decided I should join the party.

Hi,

I'm Chris. I live in SE Michigan and earn my pay as the Chef in a small mediterranean restaurant on the Huron River in Ypsilanti. Some of you know me from another site.

I don't define myself as a fly dunker as I enjoy hooking fish on bait, plugs, and spinners that I make, but I get a HUGE kick out of using my own flies. When chucking hook and hackle, I mainly use streamers on warm water, but I do a little bit of everything including dries that match the hatch on some of upper Michigan's trout streams when I get the chance.

I'm also the President of an organization that operates a fish ladder on the Huron. We've had everything from steelies, salmon, trout, musky, bass, carp, and a few walleye move through. Neat stuff.

I know I'll learn a lot here, including how I'm going to get that first on the fly musky....and I'm more than willing to share what little I've learned on my home waters.

-Chris
