Batman 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 This is my first step by step , I hope it is easy to follow; F or this fly I used ;hooks Eagleclaw 186RU-6, I know not conventional but they are heavy and they work, and they are RED Xsmall conehead-----more weight medium red chenille Large silver tinsel chenille Black round rubber for legs Gray craft fur---- If you like bucktail, but the craft fur looks good wet Straight from the Batcave here goes; 1. debarb hook so you can get the conehead on and lay down a good threadbase, I go halfway round the bend 2. I tie in red chenille at halfway point and take it to tail and wind forward 3.next Itie in the silver chenilleand wrap it thick in the middle leaving a tag hanging down 4. now is when I tie in a rubber leg on each side of fly in the middle of the silver chenille and then cover my thread with the tag I had hangin down 5.now is kinda tricky if you are a new tyer--Take a piece of craft fur and while holding legs back tye i top of hook and conehead as shown 6.after you havea few wraps on it to old fur n place pull fron of fur back and finish your fly with a whip finish or whatever you like,, the front of fur kinda acts like a short collar and then I trim the fur to length justpass end of hook I hope you like it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,B
