winmag 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2008 i have caught trout(4 species), bass(small and large mouth), bluegill, green and red ear sunfish, walleye (use golden olive). i know also of carp, catfish, and grayling caught with this pattern. it can be fished on a dead drift, strip, or bounced on the bottom. we use it most commonly with a bead head, and there is a magnum version comming soon. Scott V 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2008 Lots of colors, that way no matter what a fish is looking for he will see something to attract them. I am getting into tiying flies with more colors rather that tying something in a particular color. Very nice.

Lucky489 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2008 Semi Seal Leach great fly. Pretty much can catch any species on it. John Rohmer of Arizona Fly Fishing makes that. If you like the Semi Seal material try the Diamond Hair material. Both are great. Here in AZ when we go to Rocky Point the Diamond Hair Minnow may even work better than Clousers.
