This is a bit of a plug for an aquaintence who is an avid fly fisher, entomologist and photographer. Sorry if this upsets some (the plug), but he has his first book hitting the shelves. I thought it would be of interest to many of you. I haven't read the book yet as it has not been released (until Dec. 28th), but have followed its creation for years. I don't think you'll find better aquatic photos of insects in all stages.

Lol, I just posted nearly the exact same thread in the Fly Tying Bench section. Good on you Carl!

That is funny...Arlen is a stand up guy and has worked very hard on this project.

Voodoo - I'm not familiar with E. Coast bugs, but if you go to the link, you can scan the contents page of the book and see if it is something that might work for you.

I wish him Luck, the book industry is not an easy one!!! I have Written and Published 2 books (3rd one will be out in March) and the industry is tough. I have self published both of my books so far, but it looks like the next one is going to be picked up by a publisher.

Again, I wish him luck

Rick

i'm looking forward to getting a copy of Arlen's book- considering his knowledge of aquatic entomology and photography skills- it is sure to be good- and he's a damn nice feller!

The photograph of the BWO on page five is stunning, well thought out and well executed (not always an easy task when photographing insects). Thanks for the heads-up, this looks like a nice addition to the library.
