gpd4 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2010 You get mucho points for creativity - but I think if you were to make another one, you should omit the bead closest to the bend.
Flytyer14 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2010 That would KILL in my area. Just omit that last bead and it's GREAT!!

My guess would be synthetic dubbing of a sort
TOM PRUETT 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Its is Peacock chenille!
Flytyer14 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Well either way it's peacock....
smallieFanatic 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 No it isn't Peacock either way. It is a synthetic material bearing the title of peacock due to it's similar appearance. Not peacock.
Flytyer14 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2010 Jan, what i'm saying is it has the appearance of peacock, it also appears to have the qualities of peacock, so i guess it's synthetic but whatever really... :boxed:
smallieFanatic 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 I get what you're saying, but they are really quite different. It is similar color and sheen as peacock herl--but but it about stops there. Chenille is a man made material and behaves different underwater than Herl. You might use one as an okay substitute--but one will never take the place of the other
