Beaded nymph

I had some beads and made a nymph what do you think!

 

Looks like it will work.B/c I don't know of any fly that has peacock herl in it that a trout wont take...

You get mucho points for creativity - but I think if you were to make another one, you should omit the bead closest to the bend.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that doesn't look like Peacock herl to me. My guess would be synthetic dubbing of a sort :)

No it isn't Peacock either way. It is a synthetic material bearing the title of peacock due to it's similar appearance. Not peacock.

Jan, what i'm saying is it has the appearance of peacock, it also appears to have the qualities of peacock, so i guess it's synthetic but whatever really... :boxed:

I get what you're saying, but they are really quite different. It is similar color and sheen as peacock herl--but but it about stops there. Chenille is a man made material and behaves different underwater than Herl.

You might use one as an okay substitute--but one will never take the place of the other ;)
