H.Champagne 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2010 I live in the fingerlakes region of upstate New York. I am an avid fly tyer but i havent spent much time tying midges(of any stage) and have done some research to figure out how to tie them. I can usually tie off of a picture with a couple of tries but the amount of different midge patterns out there is ridiculous. The purpose of this post is to see if there is anyone out there who lives somewhere near my region and has some experience with midges that reside here. I usually fish Oatka creek, Spring Creek, Irondequoit creek, and Sandy Creek. Any other input on solid cold weather patterns would be great along with some ideas for places that can be productive during the winter would be fantastic. thanks
oatka 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2010 I have fished them all. I'll post more or send you a PM later with more details. Too much to type right now from my phone.
