PAPA VV 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 Hi, I am a newbie so not up to date on all the products out there. I am presently tying panfish flies from Chris Helm's panfish fly video. The nymph receipe calls for red micro-brite dubbing. Don't find it in most on line catalogs. If i goggle it, it only seems to be available in UK (england) shops. Is there a source in the U.S.? If not, what is a good substitute? Thanks for your help. PAPA VV

Mickalo 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 You could try using Spirit River's Lite Brite dubbing as a substitute. I believe it's about the same thing. It comes in 6" hacks or as a dubbing material. Mike
flytire 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2010 if you look at the photos online of micro brite dubbing it looks to be a type of chenille and they actually called it a thread http://www.sportfish.co.uk/product/microbr...-micro-chenille this lucent chenille in the small size looks very similar to the micro brite thread http://store.theflyshop.com/catalog/produc...roducts_id=7418
