ciccio 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 Lately there is been a revival of hard bodies flies (They are not a new idea! see "FLY-TYING by William B. Sturgis - 1940) using modern Materials. UV RESINS, easy to use but they (NONE OF THEM!) do not "stick" like epoxy. To coat Midges bodies try to use 2 or 3 coats of "Hard as nail" previously thinned with acetone or "Spar varnish-Polyurethane" for boats or outdoors EPOXY RESINS (2 parts) a pain to mix and to much fuss.... FLEX CEMENT, SOFTEX area little too toxic for me! Now,did you ever tried "Rust-Olium Appliance Epoxy" and (or) "Rust-olium Scratch and chip repair Markers"?
