flyfishing99 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2011 Hi, I got my order of dubbing from the Dungeon yesterday. Gave it a shot today and it seems to work really nice. What do you think. By the way, trying to tie a blue winged olive dry. Thanks, Byron \

flyfishing99 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2011 Did you use their Skeeter Dubbing? The BWO looks fine to me. Bruce As I said in an earlier post, my order was so long ago, I don't recall what I ordered! Plus, most pkgs not identified. I think it was their fine dry fly dubbing

P.Dieter 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2011 Byron, Responding here as per your request in the other thread. I think the second shot is just fine as a record of the fly and materials used (the first one is a bit under exposed). If you want to play at taking shots to another level so to speak I have some information that might help. Page 6 of the Autumn 2000 Tly Tyer has an article I wrote on the subject.Things are pretty much the same now except even more folks are shooting pic of flies and posting them on the web. I admit that I could redo the material and update and present some things better but I haven't found that time yet. It should go on my blog. Anyway this photo from a swap I hosted illustrates some of the qualities I'd like people to put in thier fly photos when they want to work a little more at it. Here is a link to the article copy in pdf (download the file Fly Studio Final.pdf or .doc if you want that version) https://public.me.com/riverwader Here's a link to photos that help illustrate the copy http://web.me.com/riverwader/tying/Flystud...ction/index.htm http://web.me.com/riverwader/tying/flystudioweb/index.htm here's the set up I will throw out when I just want a quickie shot that works fine...like your BWO http://www.flytyingforum.com/index.php?showtopic=59439 I'm always up for a conversation on this if you want to email or PM even. Or we can put it on here and share. I'm easy.
