narcodog 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2011 If all sections are the same length. It has all of it's guides then it is worth $30.00. The rod was most likely made by Montique (sic) they mad rods for several folks. It takes an HDH or 6wt line.
Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2011 JC Higgins was basically Sears back in the day. The Higgins bamboo rods don't have much value in terms of "high end cane rods" but a decent/good shape Higgins is worth around $30/$40 range, and in perfect condition closer to $75 max. If it's in good shape and your just wanting something different to play around with then yes it'll be worth $30. Steve
flymanaj 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2011 They also made shotguns. My buddy used a J.C. Higgins pump for rabbits until a couple years ago.
