Flies for the Bighorn River

Guys and Gals,

 

I have a good friend going to fish the Bighorn River in Montana in November this year. I'm am in the process of putting together a fly box for him and would like to get a couple ideas for what patterns I should tie. Any help is appreciated.

I just got back from the Bighorn myself. The fish were hitting on diving caddis, caddis emergers and pheasant tails for little black caddis. Tie up some sipper midges and maybe some black bodied smoke jumpers to act as emergers.

since the black caddis hatch should be over by november, you might want to take some midges, san juan worms and streamers.
