Chris H 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 I bet there is everywhere I go! Im usually by myself, not the best feeling in the world. A can of bear spray and a 6" knife give me comfort for a few seconds every minute until i here any weird sound in the bush, then its back to being sketchy lol! Im hoping the weather is good today, i plan to get out to photograph some abandoned vehicles and hopefully scout out a mine site ive been itching to get into and explore

Chris H 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2012 And last, on my way home on the highway today, i noticed a few logging brush fires. Perfect chance to take my first shots of fires! I really like how they turned out and I hope to find more fires sometime Thanks for looking
Piker20 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2012 An abandoned mine, abandoned ski resort and then mysterious bush fires? Sure you're not on the trail of Scooby Doo?
Chris H 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 Haha....no comment! Up to another mine adit today. Rode up to the open pit mine as well, rolled up behind a black bear, so i turned around and explored the open pit before heading back down to the adit. Didnt feel like beating around the bush with a black bear as a tour guide that day. Ill try to post more photos later
riffleriversteelheadslayer 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 man I wish I could find stuff like that just to explore with a metal detector
Chris H 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 Google is your best friend, some of those uhh geo caching sites can lead you to interesting spots, almost all the places ive found have generated from google. Read some articles and sometimes I even find info to other places and it snowballs into were old towns used to be etc etc. I bought a metal detector but didnt really get into it as much as just going and taking pictures at places. Plus being alone using a metal detector around here seems really sketchy lol
