November flies from the vise

I created this out of my imagination but the color scheme was from Bill McMillan's Winters Hope and Paint Brush patterns and its been hybridized a billion times by a billion fly tyers out there, so technically, no I did not invent it. I'm sure somebody somewhere has done it before just like this.

Ahhh nice hairwings!

 

I decided i should wizz a few up for the box, even if just for salmon next year, pretty small size 7's, and a kind of skunky factor tho completely varied. Like the pheasant rump hackle, i liked it as it has a slight green sheen to it.

If you say so! Here are a couple other flies for atlantics that will not see water for a long time most likely...

Experimenting with some new styles of flies, made up a carp worm and some kind of shrimp I figured I could easily use for bass

There are some awesome flies being tied every month! Thanks for the inspiration! I thought i would contribute with my first fly post on this forum. I'm new to fly photography so feedback is much appreciated!

 

SMR emerger

Hook: Partridge 15BN size 16

Body: Nymph skinn

Hackle: whiting, barred ginger

Post: Poly yarn

Legs: Pheasant tail fibres
