breambuster 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2014 I have just gotten started with trout fishing and need lots of the basic patterns of flies; I don't even have an Adams Dry Fly! My fly box is woefully empty! I can't run another swap because I'm already hosting the Panfish Nymph Swap. My fishing will be of the Southern Appalachian variety. Some of the flies I see listed for that area are Yellow Stimulator #14 & #16, Early Black Caddis and Stone, #16 & #18, Cream Caddis #12 & #16. Quill Gordon #12 & #16, Grannom Caddis, #12 & #16, March Brown #12 & #16. Slate Drake #12 & #16. Light Cahill #12, #14 & #16. and Brown Drake #12. If someone is looking to start a new swap, why not start one for Southern Appalachia Trout Patterns? And sign me up for it. Thanks BB

eastern fly 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2014 I don't know about the Southern Apps but that's the same list of flies used for my area back home of Mineral County, WV. So that's deeper in the mountain range. Kevin
