Parachute question

Recommended Posts

Love the no hackle flies, and they are tricky to tie!

For Duns I fish a Chauncy Lively pattern, over the years it has morfted into a popular Hendrickson It is a burnt wing reversed Hackle. one of the keys to pattern is to cut a small V section , running under and paralle to the body. This allows fly to set alittle low which (in theory), allows a better body silhouttethat may help catch more fish.

I see other similar comments above and I'm addin to it.

Parachutes are great for me because they set well and are very easy to see.

Not my tie. I wish I could get the wings as symettrical.

I think the sidewinder wings are very difficult. Any asymmetry and you get a fly that spins and twists the tippet.
