A neat, easy sunken beetle; this would be fun to swing past some cut-banks. hook - Mustad 3906 #8 thread - Danville 6/0 black rib - oval tinsel silver shellback - peacock sword body - rug yarn dubbing black (original calls for seal) wing - Amherst pheasant tippet hackle - hen black mash barb, start thread, tie in rib, wrap to bend tie in some peacock sword fibers by the tips dub thread/dub body rib body; tie off/trim pull shellback forward; tie off/trim strip off some AP tippet fibers; measure (tips to bend), tie in/trim tie in folded hackle (this was a saddle; turned out to be too heavy so I swapped in a cape feather) wrap; tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

This computer that the originals are on went Tango Uniform last month so I’m working on ways to recover.
