JustinDavis 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 Yep, they like da club This last summer I caught a nice 18" Cutthroat on a trib of the Crowsnest River, AB. It was in a bend in the stream, I deaddrifted it around the corner, and just as it was coming to some deadfall, up came the trout and fish on. This fly gives a great sillouette. tidewaterfly 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 Good looking fly! :headbang: I tied some of those last year on a size 1 straight shank worm hook for bass. I didn't add a wing, and they cast like crap, but the bass loved them. I tied them in green/chartreuse/yellow, and brown/orange/tan. I'm going to give a black cricket version a try next. HobbesFly 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2008 Nice looking fly. What's the Club Sandwich supposed to imitate; do you know? Or is it just an attractor pattern?
JustinDavis 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2008 Its a hopper pattern. I'll grant the colors are a little interesting, but the sillouette is great. You could change the colors quite easily. Justin
