  1. I have 3 in. Sorry no pics, you'll just have to wait.
  2. Cannedheat, Got them and they are nice. Thanks
  3. Go to steelheadbasics.com It has many patterns to get you going. Even has step by step descriptions. It will keep you busy for a long time. Make sure your printer has plenty of paper and ink. Enjoy and welcome to my addiction.
  4. Jeremy got them today and they look great. Thanks!!! I aint scared to fish that Don.
  5. Thanks guys. Al, I am aware about stroking the material back as I turn because I use alot of Hackle Flashes around here. If you arent familiar with the Hackle Flash its a fly using a marabou tail and this flashy material called hackle flash for the body. Basically its crystal flash on a string. The Erie steelies love them!!!! Many of them come to my hand with the silver with a wht tail. Stained water char/char.
  6. Anybody out there use this stuff? I picked some up and kinda like it. Looks like it would make a good clear water leech for GL steelies. Question being do I use just a piece of that for a tail, or should I use another such as marabou or bucktail? Thanks.
  7. Thats it. Pretty simple, one is big and mean and the other alittle more calm and suductive. We all should be able to figure out which one is which. Thanks again. I may have some high water here in OH this coming Sat so I may nead about 6 more of your high water pattern Ha Ha
  8. Chrisfish I got them. Good job and thanks.
  9. Swap is closed and we got who we got. Didnt fill but still will be fun. Thanks guys!!!
  10. sounds good Don. you are in. I will give it till Tuesday and I will close the swap. If it doesnt fill then we go with what we got.
  11. chrisfish you are in. I am thinking of pulling the plug on this though due to lack of intrest. I'll give it acouple more days and if I cant get some more people I am going to shut it down. If it shuts down I will post it on here and also pm everybody who said that they were in. Maybe its bad timing but I'll try it again after the hollidays are over and the rivers freeze up. Thanks
  12. Jereme you are in!!! Welcome to the site and welcome to the swap

  15. It is time for a swap that I have been wanting to pull off for awhile. A high/low swap. If you are like me I dont get to go on all the prime days. Whatever the river is like on Sat or Sun is what I get to fish. Lets get 10 guys beside myself to whip up a high water and low water pattern. I know the hollidays are coming but lets get them in by Dec. 20. 1. mitch 821 2. will 3. cannedheat 4. jereme 5. chrisfish 6. Don Stracener 7. 8. 9. 10.
  16. I started making up all my normal steelhead flies for this fall and was looking to add afew more streamer patterns to my box. Which ones do you not leave the house without? Mine are a wht marabou winged one, clousers in blk/blk and char/wht, and hackle flashes in char and silver. Thanks!!
  17. One of the nicest swaps I have been in. Graet job all!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Day5 :headbang:
  18. I would love to get in but as tempting as it sounds I'll have to pass. My table is full with egg patterns nymphs and streamers. The big run is about to happen here in OH and I plan on losing alot this Spring. Hope you guys have a successful swap!!!!!
  19. I fish Erie tribs for steelhead and use 6-12.
  20. Got them today. Thanks to SD and all the swappers!!!
  21. I hope everybody likes them. I just started making and using that pattern for the steelies here in OH. Trust me they work. :headbang: Thanks for hosting enjoy the extras!!!! That char clouser is very effective as well for me. The water around here isnt as clear as it is up there so I hope there isnt to much flash in them. That egg pattern is a winner in clear water around here so good luck and let me know if you pop anything on them. Thanks again.
  22. Mailed mine after work on Tuesday. Let me know when they arrive.
