It was an awesome evening for flyfishing.. Friends of mine had just got back from fishing at stobie dam, and called me to say that there was a hatching going on at the vermillion river. I Jumped into the van and headed over there quickly as I could. I got there about 5:45pm grabbed my Scientific Angler fly rod and a Quill Gordon dry fly, about 10 mins later i got my first fish. i fished till about 9:00pm,and catching a total of 5 bass and 3 pickerel(walleye). man it was great to go home with a late supper in the cooler..

I use cortland 333 and usually double taper for trout 4wt to 8wt then for pike i ues S/A sink tip also use same for salmon and bows Tightines Mike

Mine is a S/A 10wt fiberglass rod and a 4 1/4 in. beaulite fly reel made by jw young with a S/A 10 wt sink tip geat setup for pike muskey and salmon bin using it for yearsssssssssssss.. Tight Lines Mike
