  1. rockworm I recieved mine awhile back and I have to say that I'm thouroghly impressed with the flies and the presentation thanks for all the work that you put into this swap, it was a great idea and a whole lot of fun I second profesori's offer when you decide to run another one of these just sign me up BTW thanks for the leader (i carried it on my first trek to Mountian Home Ar intending to use it but got lost in the fishing and forgot I had it) yours is far more impressive than my mono version and it has inspired me to make a few up but I think I will wait until the fishing falls off or the water freezes over which ever comes first Thanks for hosting FYI for those who don't know (such as myself until bailing in like a wild man) tailwater water tempatures are freaking outrageous cold!!!!
  2. cencalfly I have no problem waiting either we all have times when life comes up and interrupts the fishing flytying and everything else that is even remotely amusing. So take your time and I hope everything gets right for you
  3. I PM'd you but just in case the flies are on the way
  4. Man gills on a 3wt is more fun than you should be allowed to have by yourself, so it may be against the law. All I know for sure is that if they lock me up for it I'm gonna make up some cover story that makes me sound dangerous and maybe the other inmates will think that the big grin on my face is a sign that I'm crazy and they will keep their distance
  5. Rockworm I am waiting on a couple more bugs to crawl out of the primordial ooze which I expect to happen tonight, so shoot me an addy and I will get them in the mail this week. Thanks for hosting, this has been a very interesting swap and I can't wait to see the whole swarm assembled.
  6. I got mine today good job gentlemen, Mowest thanks for hosting
  7. Alright here we go from the shallow end of the gene pool comes the...... Grey winged Assassin's Cousin :dunno: hook #14 tail gray hackle fibers (split) wings mallard abdomen gray dubbing hackle grizzly thorax gray dubbing legs peacock swords
  8. I bought a 3 wt late last fall just for gills, I have a blast catching them. When the bite is hot you can catch one on almost every cast, my spin fishin buddy in the back of the boat is usaully sulled up because he can't keep up. Cant wait until they get on the beds :headbang: :headbang:
  9. oh man I like that fly I've got to tie some up
  10. I'm in, this sounds like fun, man I hope I don't have to go out and buy more materials
  11. fishingbob is right you should join in, these swaps are alot of fun, you will recieve a nice selection of flies from all over the country which will give you hands on access to inspect and learn from. I always find some technique or material that I've got try in every swap. At the end of the day we are all wrapping fur, feathers, carpet fibers, roadkill and anything else we can find around a hook in the hopes of catching the fish of a lifetime only to patiently tie it on a tippet and promptly tangle it up in a tree on our first backcast, so don't worry about the skill level the birds won't care what it looks like anyway they'll be tickled it wasn't their feathers, now come on and join the fun.
  12. I'll get mine in the mail tomorrow or Thursday, I intended to send em Friday but took off on a road trip and forgot em

  17. gentlemen I just got mine in the mail today, and as much fun as I have had I pray they make it. I tied a couple of flies for this swap and then my daughters boyfriend came back from Gander Mountian with a tying tip book and it had a pattern in it with a "string" of bead chain eyes (two on each side) which I had to try out and incorporated into these cricket nymphs. They rattle!! :headbang: and I can't wait to fish em myself I hope yall like em. Catalpa_Joe thanks for hosting and again I appologize for the mess
