  8. Oh, 30+ years ago, I tied flies for a local shop (while in high school)......now I barely find the time to tie for myself......2 very active teenagers that aren't driving yet......I'm a Detective on the PD. Mike
  9. If you do a search on this site, there have been several lenghty discussions about this over the years......what I do is scrape the hides thoroughly removing as much flesh/fat as possible being careful not to tear the skin, then lay it on newspapers in the garage hair side down and very liberally cover the skin side w/borax (you can buy this at any large grocery store in the laundry detergent section.....it comes in a yellow box and I think it called "mule train" or "20 mule" or something like that. give it a few days, shake it off and re-apply the borax again.....it might take several applications depending on how weel you scraped it. I also like to throw the hides in the freezer for a few days, take it out, thaw it and then re-freeze it for a few days again to kill "critters"......I then store my hides in airtight rubbermaid type bins w/mothballs. Mike
  10. Haven't seen you in a while! Welcome Back! Mike

Stockard? They sponsor our website here and have phenomenol cust. serv..... Mike
