I bought this set up at AC Moore's around $40.00. Not very travel friendly because the base is pretty heavy. Its a daylight.

Bryan, Ive been using Mustads 3366 hooks, its a strait eye hook with my clousers works for me.

I have had a couple Dr Slicks for awhile now and havent had any trouble with them. Hey oatka dose your son have any teeth left? those things are pretty hard.

That seems too complicated to use for me. This is what i use, it works for what i do.

I have to agree with JohnP and Slowpoke, soft hackles do the trick for me and they couldnt be simpiler to tie.

I have to agree with you panama red as far as Dr slicks being made in Pakistan, i have a pair of curved anvils, and like them a lot i just wish that they would make them with closed finger loops. I tie with them in my hand so they get hung up on the bobbin at times.
