  2. Listen to bugsy... He hit it right on the head. It has nothing to do with hiw youre tying. Just a genetic trait of the bird it came from. Steam wont fix it.call them and see if theyll give you a new one

  5. Hello again, Im looking into tying some renditions of muddlers and don't have calf tail. I was thinking that instead of getting calf tail, I might as well use a substitute. What are some materials you guys have used for the wing in muddlers? im not necessarily looking for a substitute that behaves the same way, but rather something that can take its place and still work/look good/etc. Thanks
  6. Hey guys, In some of the streams I fish, there is quite a bit of vegetation. However, I do not fish with flies that are normally made weedless. My question today is how universal are weedguards? Can I take any fly that I normally fish (zonker style) and throw a weed guard? What flies cant I make weedless? What are some advantages and disadvantages of using them and how do you (personal opinion) make them? Thanks
  7. Im thinking Ill have the due date April 15, 2016. That doesnt work with somebody, let me know!! Again, if the flies are turned in before the due date, i will have no problem sending them out ahead of time. Thank you guys for joining and I hope you enjoy your time in the swap. Thanks, MG

  11. Thats a great idea. Im hoping it will fill though. I may just cap it at 10 and we would just have to tie ten flies. Not sure yet, ill let this swap cook for a couple more days. Josephcsylvia definitely expect a swap like that in the future. Like i said, i plan on hosting swaps regularly from now on.
  12. Josephcsylvia, i actually have four spools of high quality gold wire... Very very very expensive, but i got them at a garage sale along with 60 other spools of tying tinsel, wire, etc. For 40 bones. I guess the retiring tyer forgot what he had.
  13. Papa baske, that sculpin is straight fire. Wow. What a fly.
