  1. These work great for panfish too.I punch mine out with a small copper tube or pipe that i sharpen on one end.Twist it like you are driving a screw into the flip flop then push them out of the tube.
  2. I lived in Kissimmee for awhile.Spent alot of time in Avon Park.I had a great time.Seemed like there was a lake on every block.I never had a problem finding a place to fish.If you can't find anyone to fish with you will still enjoy it.
  3. Thanks guys.I agree with you. Some days the fish will hit anything you cast and then there are the days that you have to throw the one fly they are looking for.I like tying the ants and the spiders too. I find that the ants seem to do better with a hackle wing of some sort rather than a plain ant.The spiders do excellent.I can cast them and let the natural ripple in the water work for me.The least little movement of those rubber legs and the fish take them.....when they want spiders.
  4. Fish don't care if its high quality or cheap. They just want it to look edible.Dollar stores and walmart's have lots of tying materials in the craft and sewing departments.I buy bead chain for cealing fans at walmart or lowes and make eyes with them. You may be suprised what you can find in your local Goodwill or Salvation Army stores.I have found items with fur collars, tons of feathers and plenty of foam items. Cheap tied flies may not last as long but they're inexpensive to replace. I flyfish for panfish most of the time and they're not to picky. For saltwater you may need to use the more expensive stuff.
  5. These are a few simple flies that panfish love in my local lakes and ponds. Foam Bee Bluegill fly Panfish Bug Simple Foam Hopper Tinsel Midge
