"If you elect Mike, you'll have to spend time on the water with him to get anything done !!!"
That'd get my vote!

I have carried a few Rainbow Warriors in my fly box for a few years now and have never used them, until a few weeks ago.
I had a very limited time at the local tail water. Tying on at least six different flies, mostly soft hackles, without any luck. With the New England sun and temperature quickly dropping, and less than 45 minutes left, I tied on one of two Rainbow Warriors I had. Second cast, I had a nice 18 inch 'Bow to net, followed quickly by a couple smaller Brookies and 'Bows. Heck, I even got a hit dangling the fly down stream as I changed wading positions. So, I tied up a few more for the box.
Sized 12 -16, various colored glass bead heads, various dubbing, some with black floss under body: my humble 'December Flies from the Vice' offering.
Thanks, Norm, for the postimage suggestion.
Thanks also to the mods for fixing the site's issues from a few weeks ago, I had nearly given up visiting, let alone trying to post anything.

Dessie Paul’s Mayfly
A beautiful fly.
I have always admired the look of these Irish Lough flies, interesting how they are dressed when compared to flies are tied in the US. (to my amateur eye, anyway)

Thanks Mike.
That copper is actually orange silk, with an ostrich collar and a few turkey breast fibers for hackle.

Playing around last night with a hen pheasant skin harvested this fall, basic soft hackle using only feathers from that bird, wire, and thread. #12
Looks like I need to dilute the Sally Hansens to help it to seep into the threads.
