I agree smallie i have never thought about puttin tinsel under mine but it looks great Dble Haul. Amazing how the "simple" things can change the whole look of a fly,i will also tie some for the PA trip.......... or maybe i'll just push Smallie in the water and take his fly box when we get there SD

Yeah Dan it seems like i wait all year for the salmon and in no time its gone I had a pretty good year this year the PM was very good for a couple of the trips i went on and i had some big# days but it was more or less that the fish were grouped in the "secret"holes...secret yeah right i think the run was a bit smaller than it has been in the last few years but it was by no means a "bad" year. The au sable really fished kinda strange for me this year,dont know if it was just me or if everyone had the same thing happen but one day you would have a good amount of fish and the next day they were gone. Ethier moved upstream or drug out by snaggers All in all it was a good salmon season...but then again any season that we are healthy and out on a river up to our knees in cool waters with a fly rod in hand is a good year! SD
