  4. i'm looking for an old colorado dry fly pattern called "henshaws old faithful" its a caddis dry fly that uses a greenish pheasant body feather laid flat on top for a wing i have exhausted GOOGLE & BING search engines looking for a pic or recipe if you have knowledge about this fly could you please let me know. if not, please dont speculate what the recipe might be. thanks norm

  13. after looking at the foto in the link you provised it looks like the S/S and L/S is identifying the hook length. S/S = Short or Standard Shank length L/S = Long Shank length
  14. i would recommend the tiemco bobbin holder. it has a ceramic tube and adjustable legs to provide whatever tension you may want to place on the bobbin.

  16. i would use balsa poppers if there were stores selling balsa BLANKS but ive never seen them on online fly shops only the finished ones. if you have sources for balsa BLANKS how about letting us know.

  19. in the link i'm providing and where you most likely got the 2 fotos, it does mention cactus chenille as some part of th body. you prototype doesnt have any. i would incorporate some silver cactus chenille or estaz somewhere in the body http://thebasspond.com/topic/2475 i also dont see any resemblance between the fly in the top foto and the 2 flies in the middle foto
