  1. Thanks Rich Mc! Went out yesterday morning to take advantage of some rare GREAT weather, and explore some relatively unfished waters close to town and in one of the more popular rivers round these parts. It was mostly a conventional trip, but I did get the fly rod out with one of RichMc's Shannon's streamers that he tied for the snook swap. It was pretty quite with a few mangrove jack (Snapper) sighted and one boated, and a couple of barramundi hooked and one boated. But the highlight of the day was sighting a pikey bream and watching him charge down Rich's creation with gusto! What I have found is that it floats initially, but once saturated is a slow sinking fly that is quite heavy. Great for getting the attention of nearby fishes....
