He was from upstate NY and I SE Ky so there were different kinds of fish in his are. So I was just curious is there many different kinds of fish in the south east that were caught on fly rods? mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2022 Welcome to the site. I live and fish in Florida. Anything that can be caught on other types of fishing, can be caught on a fly rod. I fish with all the different styles of presentation, spinning, baitcaster and fly rod ... and many times, the fly rod saves the day from a "skunk".
