lanvaettir 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 That's a nice looking bug. Have you ever tried it in Colorado. I bet it would work well in a 16-18 on the Piedras.
Lance Kekel 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 Thanks, Never in Colorado but I'ts worked well in Wyoming, Montana, PA and Michigan in sizes 10-16. I love that fly.
Guest Report post Posted January 14, 2004 Nice work, Lance. What Michigan Rivers did you have your best success with it?
Guest Report post Posted January 14, 2004 I know that here in KY, I use it in shallow, but quick water....great dry fly action, particularily in the summer months on the mountain streams....takes trout, panfish, and the occasional bass.
Lance Kekel 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 Shoe, I've caught fish with it on the upper Manistee, all portions of the Ausable, Pigeon, the Two Hearted and a smattering of smaller creeks. It doesn't seem to matter if it's choppy water or smooth, I don't leave without it!
Guest Report post Posted January 14, 2004 Thanks Lance. I've had limited luck with the badger, mostly in faster water. I'll have to try it.
