Guest Report post Posted January 20, 2004 *Recipies have been added to the database* They're on size 3 Jackson Spey hooks, and the original idea was drowning grasshopper. (I see that the picture came out kinda muted since I used the scanner. I'll take shots with the digi cam to replace this scan when I get time later.) Vote LBG!! Guest Report post Posted January 20, 2004 It would be nice to find some warmwater applications for these type of flies so I really like the grasshopper idea
Guest Report post Posted January 20, 2004 haven't tried any speys....not much chance to really use them here in the heartland, but they look nice to me!! Was really interested in the article in the most recent issue of Fly Tyer mag....thinking about giving them a shot Nice Work, Mark.....PS...How are the "Gummy's" coming
lanvaettir 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 Those are good looking flies but I'd need to wear a helmet to cast them ... Safety first you know.

Was really interested in the article in the most recent issue of Fly Tyer mag....thinking about giving them a shot Nice Work, Mark.....PS...How are the "Gummy's" coming I've never fished with 'em, and other than Erie I'm nowhere near Salmon, but I figured what the heck! I'll try them in the rivers for Bass and in the lakes for Bass. I actually made the Gummi shrimp I was thinking of, but the picture didn't come out so well, plus I wanna make another to get the bugs out. It's a definite winner! Not because of me tying it, but because of the materials. More to come...
Guest Report post Posted January 21, 2004 Nice first try! I remember my first attempts at salmon & spey, really awful. You're going to find out as you go on tying these flies that it becomes very addictive.
