"Living" caddis larva

Recommended Posts

Oh yes, it's another fishable. Earlier this spring I have had thoughts on how to add realism to flies in the form of more movement in them and still keeping them realistic the way I wanted them to. This I consider my first real atemp at it.

The extended body on this caddislarva is very easily bended, my hopes is that the flow of a current will make it "wiggle" like a none case building caddis larva fighting to find a rock to attach to again. I have only tried this one fishing in lakes so far so I can't really say if it works or not.

Flexible up and down:

The real test is comming: one week in the streams of northen norway staring juli 17!

Hey Ulf great caddis. What materials were used to make it so real yet flexible?

And yes please give us a full report of its journey down the streams.

Hi Ulf,

Well I took time away from this new job to look in the forum...........the first two posts I pull up are your two fishable patterns................great ties my friend and they will certainly be tried in the rivers here in Virginia.

Oh well back to work.............tight lines Ulf.

Thanks everyone! I am in the middle of writing a step by step for a magazine for this one, when it's published I will surely tell more on how it's done. But I guess some of you will already have figured out most of the materials and stuff by just looking at it :)
