Graham 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2006 Hey Sturgeon Catcher.... AWESOME shot!!! I'd bet you used a tripod! The frog's eye couldn't be any sharper. Geez, now I'll be looking for him, and if he's lookin for me, it'll be easy..... Graham
Sturgeon_Catcher 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2006 No tripod. Off hand. Big frog. Have other pics and will post when others have seen it. later Fred
Graham 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2006 I'm impressed!!! I had a great oportunity to photograph an almost identical frog a few months ago, and even holding my breath, the shots came out less than tack sharp. I think steady camera hand holding without a flash is difficult, especially for macro or long exposure shots. Looks like you have a very steady hand and don't drink much coffee... Sturgeon_Catcher 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2006 We had just finished fishing and headed back to the lodge. Garrett the three year old spots this frog. Dad turns him loose and he runs up to the frog. Gets about 15' away and puts on the brakes. He had never seen a frog of this size. Went up to check him out and get the pics. Silly frog sat there the whole while. Let me put the camera within 4" of his face to take the pic and never moved. We think he was migrating and stopped for a break. Will post the entire series with fishing report this day. Meantime here are more of the frog. Later FRed Nothing but Columbian supreme for me please. No cream. No sugar. High octane if you would please.

Peterjay 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2006 What frog? What I see is a picture of my ex-wife taking a break from her duties as a skin diver for Roto-Rooter. Seriously, nice shot Fred.

Graham 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2006 Hey fly time, yea, frogs the size of that one scare me, it's lookin at me the same way I looked at his cousin, in biology class.

madkasel 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 That's amazing... seeing things reflected clearly in a frog's eye. Amazing picture. Our fears are seldom logical. I kill spiders, even big ones, with my bare hands.... and yet I hate caterpillars. Incident as a youth with one of those huge green fat ones with the weird stalk eyes. Graham 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 FYI... I'm not really afraid of any animals, well, maybe sharks and griz...
