fly time 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 Ok guys, I have never salmon fished, but Im really excited about this trip, and Steve said to tie up some big bright, gatti flies, so I did, and here they are, do ya think they will catch salmon? Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 Dustin a very good deal of those I would say will work Only problem I see with a couple of them is that the theres a few that look like they are a pretty light wire hook for salmon so you might end up with a few hooks bending. I'll have a few hundred Size 4&6 Mustad 36890's with me though so we'll tie each night with those, so all you need is enough to get you though the first full day, which I think looks like you should be able to.
