SteveGibson 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2008 Have to fly to Michigan in mid-June for a nephew's graduation/open house. After that, wife and I want to spend a week somewhere in the state. spinner 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2008 I would recomend going to Crystal Falls in Iron County. The Paint River which is right there is an awesome smallmouth river with musky and trout. Lake Emily is a great lake for pike and musky. Lake Chicagon is a beautiful lake full of smallmouth. I recomend doing some exploring of your own up there you never know what you'll find. This is besides the point but if you like golf the George Young golf course is right lake Chicagon. $30 gets you unlimited golf for the day with a free cart for the the first round and gets you access to the club house which has a pool, hot tub, and sauna. Check out memory lane resort its right on the banks of the Paint river. there are also a bunch of cabins and stuff on lake chicagon to rent. Most of the info should be pretty accurate it has been a couple years since i've been up there. I really recomend going up there it's really beautiful country with a lot of great fishing.
