flyderaght 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2009 Yes, it makes incredible streamers and is quite legal here in Canada, but I do believe that it's getting harder to get. It's hard to dye too I think. I only know one person who is considered an expert and his polar bear is hard to get and he won't divulge his secret. Last I heard Malcolm was in the kamloops area with his wife kathy. Kathy is very well known as one of the premier female flyfishers around and has represented canada many times at the worlds. Here is a pattern using polar bear: http://www.ariverneversleeps.com/backissue...02/flybox.shtml It was tied in memory of a young girl in BC who was quite ill and was developed for coho and works well I might add. suspect bass would like too! marc

smallieFanatic 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2009 By Bill Heavy? No, and I don't plan to. Not to start a riot, but I think Heavy is a poor author, lacking in both talent and writing subject. Patrick McManus' recent stuff is all washed down and really un-amusing also. Its his old stuff that cracks me up!!!! :headbang: :headbang:
