Devin very cool. I use to have a ferret myself (named him Norman after Norman Maclean author of A River Runs Through it). They are such a cool pet. :headbang:

yeah she is a good dog for the most part she is black lab border collie mix and loves to retrieve anything that is thrown out so taking her to common fishing areas that kids go with bobbers is out of the question but at least I don't have to fetch ducks anymore she loves to go hunting but she doesn't bother the squirrels that dog layed right there and watched the squirrel take her bone

Good topic NJ, great pics everyone. BTW, I haven't forgotten you, just haven't tied any flies since I quit smoking 2 weeks ago as I used to smoke and tie - its complicated but I'll get you some hard bodied bugs before long.

Anyway, while dogs rule, there's no buddy like a kid; I'm fortunate to have both.

Kirk, Great pic..Is that a cane pole that she is using? Don't worry about them..You not smoking is a better thing....

Thanks.

Yes, its a fiberglass telescoping "cane pole", great rods; compact and lightweight for their length. I had her rigged with a weighted Tellico Nymph under the bobber. We caught a bunch of Rio Grande Cichlids that day. I may teach her and her older brother to flyfish this year if they are interested.

Kirk, Do they seem interested at this point in time? Or does your son and daughter prefer playing with friends over fishing?
