birdman6 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2010 very nice, if you changed the colours it would work very well for the stones we get over here. We call them gadgers i this area. I think i will try to some of them in black and chatruse with barred legs. The trout will love them. thank you.
Orange Caddis 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2010 Great looking fly. What's the name of the weave pattern you used? Thanks, Jason
bad fish rising 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2010 jason i think it is the overhand knot weave you tie the materials on the sides of the hook then cut your thread turn your vice so you are looking at the eye of the hook you tie a knot in the material slide the dark on top of the hook the light on the bottom when you pull the knot tight make sure to pull directly to the sides make the same amount of knots on both sides reattach thread and tie off material keeping it on the sides of the hook birdman last year i used black and green polyflash/diamond braid ,w/ chartruese estaz instead of ultra chenille it worked great for steelhead in dirty water check out my diamond stone on here to see the concept of flashy materials
