Mark Sedotti ties a similarly-shaped fly that he uses when bluefish are chopping bunker into pieces. It's supposed to represent a fish head, and he says it works great. Never tried it, but it's food for thought anyway.

Thank you for the great comment sir, that was my goal here, to imitate a flkoating head or half a baitfish (aka bunker), you can only find out if it works by trying! thanks guys

Chum flies work well on Bluefish, so that should work too! Stripers will eat Chum flies also, so a "Chunk" fly should work on them as well, particularly when they're Blues around too!
