iFly 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2012 Went out on another redfish outing with my friend. Fishing was not so fun even with spinning gear in the 25mph wind and 30mph gusts. After battling the wind and catching a decent amount of reds from 17-26in the wind stopped like somebody flipped a switch leaving us with 30 minutes of daylight left. Thats when I brought out the fly rod and started chucking flies to a school we were on. Sight casted one. He surprised me when he ate the fly cause i practically hit him on the head with the fly....not on purpose though, grabbed a wad of grass on the back cast. He was about 20in and fought like he thought he was 25inches. Ended the day with a pig. 28in and the Boga told us 10lbs. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

iFly 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2012 Thanks, it was an awesome battle with several drag peeling runs. 2bonthewater, i dont doubt it was cold! The water was 48 degrees in most spots.
