perchjerker 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2012 IMHO, anyone who goes forth for bass and bream without foam bugs in their box(es) is leaving home unarmed! I catch 3-4 lb LMB on bugs as small as #12. My fishing 'hole' has a healthy bunch of LMB, and 'bream'. It is truly interesting to watch a good sized bass take a bug this small. They simply 'suck it in', leaving only a small dimple in the water where the bug was, just like a big blueill. They normally do not strike such small offerings with that "kill it instantly or it will get away" strike you get when using larger surface bugs. Oh, what fun!
