Ruffells311 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2012 Not being able to sleep last night, I decided to sleep in today and fish for a few hours this afternoon (I guess it was yesterday's afternoon now). The fish were pretty co-operative. The majority of the fish (and bites) came from areas or water with deep waters close by (deep as in 30-40 ft). All the fish came out of less than 5 ft of water though. Couldn't catch anyfish on minnow type imitations (crazy chariles, clousers, EP minnows, etc..) Which was odd in one case because I found some fish activley feeding on minnows and still only wanted a fathead diver (Dahlberg diver miny) but the diver did make a sound that was very close to the ones the minnows were making in the shallows. Which I know is suppose to mimic minnows but in this color I think the fish were relating them more to be grasshoppers or even small mice. Here are a few photos: You can see the diver, in most of the pictures, in their mouth. Here some other fish I have caught recently with my new 4 wt:

Ruffells311 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 Oh yeah. I will probably be making another trip here soon for some big bream to cook up. Bream is one of the best tasting and plentyful fish out there. Just hard to find the big ones!

Ruffells311 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2012 It is a good healthy lake! No gas motors allowed! Although, there were a couple drunkards down there the other day that ran a bass boat in the lake. Being in a kayak and by myself with no one on the lake but me and the three on the boat with no cellphone service for the most part, I figured it was in my best interest to not say anything.
