My best female friend is hooked on fly fly fishing :-)

My best female friend is hooked on fly fishing and to me it is so great to have a female fly fishing buddy. Her name is Iselin and she is learning fly fishing and fly tying really fast. This summer she was practising spey casting and she was picking it up very very quickly, and i was not actually surprised when i saw how dedicated she was :-)

Iselin is my female soulmate and i´m really looking forward to go fly fishing with her, and hopefully she will catch her first big brown trout next summer :-) I just can´t wait to be there and see her reaction :-) :-)

Congratulations. "your best female friend", does that mean you have a harem of lower ranking best friends LOL.

Its not amazing that women are so good at spey casts. They don't have the power issues men seem to have about hitting a different river with every cast.

No i don´t have a harem of lower ranking best friends :-) :-) ...... i have a few female friends but none of them can compare to Iselin because she and i share so many similar things in life and none of my other female friends are into fly fishing :-) :-) Iselin is simply a great friend :-)

 

Your comment on spey casting among woman are spot on, btw :-) :-) ...... fly fishing is all about technique and feel, and not about power :-) :-)

My wife and soul mate introduced me to fly fishing for trout when we were still dating about 18 years ago. She could really catch the trout. I've learned a lot from her and its been great. We make about 6 or 7 trout trips together per year. The end of this week, She & I are going back to the Madison River in Montana to chase trout in a drift boat with a guide/friend. Last year she caught a measured 22 inch german brown trout, which was the biggest of the week. It was awesome.

Iselin has a sister, BUT i don´t think her sister is a fly fisher and are willing to go to Virginia :-) ...... Sorry, Tony :-) :-)

I absolutely feel lucky to have a friend like Iselin. She is just a fantastic friend for sure :-)

Well Terje, I have always heard that it doesn't hurt to ask..... Blane, since my wife seemed to show some interest a while back and then I realized that it was just to get me to shut up, I have told her that I want a fly fishing buddy and I don't care who or what it is. As long as he, she or it respects the land and the fish as I do then the sky is the limit. I wouldn't care if it was a she and she was 5 feet tall and weighed more than me or if he was a Hell's Angel or a priest or if it happened to be a little green man from mars or bigfoot, as long as they love what they are doing and cherish nature. Besides, I don't plan on my wife reading this.....

What if she was a 5ft 300lb hells angel minister with as much under arm hair as bigfoot??? Heck I guess you'd never struggle to carry your gear in, always have some coarse dubbing fur and be safe from bears. Hey does she have a sister????
