ditz2 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2015 The Medalists are my choice and I personally would not hesitate to buy one of the latter china made versions. I have at least 2 or 3 of them since I could not buy new American made ones and I would not hesitate to buy more of them. I would agree that the U.S. made ones are a little better but the China versions are very serviceable and probably last just as long as the old ones. I do not, however, like the ones made in Japan several years ago. If anyone has a couple of the china version 1494, 1495, or even the 1498 and want to unload them send me a PM.
