For flytire: I haven't had much trouble [some though] with the foam spinning on the nail...there are nails with little ridges. A light touch on the sanding is all that's needed. It doesn't take much force to shape the foam, and it stays in place pretty good. I don't use the system very much, since I ... 1) rarely worry about perfect shapes on my foam poppers and 2) don't like the resulting "hole" through the center of the shaped foam. I don't put the hook through there, so it's just an extra hole. My poppers, lately, have all just been punched cylinders from flip flops and they work just fine.
