Full sinking fly line reviews?

Recommended Posts

I do really like shooting head style lines in general but especially for a full sinking line it's really nice not having to try to keep a bunch of that heavy line in the air to get a long cast.

With a 7' leader not that difficult to cast. I have full sink on a 6 wt and an 8 wt

At the risk of actually staying on topic, there was a time when SA ruled the market for full sink lines, but Rio generally makes the most popular full sink lines these days, although I have not heard of a bad line from any of the other manufacturers. You might find it useful to upline one weight for a full sink, to help with the load, but that's really a personal preference. Most popular use is for lake fishing from a PWC. Less useful for moving water, where a shooting head/sink tip arrangement work better. YMMV.
