Radoslav Kiskinov 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2005 Hi, guys, I'm happy to tell you some about my last fly fishing day - the day before yesterday. Wednesday(09.05), me and three friends of mine were in one of the best bulgarian trout rivers - Zlatna Panega. The river is with karst waters, adn the temperature of the water is constant trough the whole year. That day it was wery cold outside, about -1 C degree, with wind, and in the first time we thourht that no fish gona play. But at about 2 o'clock after noon, it hapened - the hatching of mayflies. Here you are some pictures of my friend Vlado Getov and his fishing, He is fishing with two hands, he is a real master of casting, but with left one is beter. Most of the trouts were about 20 - 26 sm. And they all were kissed for good bue, after that released And here I am trying to set the fly in a fish mouth, ehehe Here, in a spot, I saw a fish, and tried to catch her with a beetle. At last, when I caught her I found that it was a chub. Another friend of mine Stefan Colov caught a browny about 46 sm. He is very good in catching big brown trouts. Here in Bulgaria it is very rear to catch a trout over 1 kilogram. The most interesting thing wich I can not forget never was that tha hatching of the mayflies was very hard, but very short, and we had only 15 minutes to make it. The flies we fished were very tasteful immitations of the dun variant of the mayflies. I wish the same luck to all of you with the mayflies, and let you feel better more than 15 minutes!
