  1. Thanks Lynn -- that skull hangs on the wall by the restaurant at Wild Rose. Oooh, size 8 midges. Wets the appetite. Guess I should go over there more often. Never have seen it before. Missed you on the smallies. It was fun. Lots of fish---I mean lots! I posted some of the pics. Trying to take pictures with a 3 year old was not fun but turn out ok I think. Take a look at the sun and see how I did Ithink I got pretty close.
  2. Wayyy cool. Where did you find the head?
  3. Ok here is the deal. I'm home sick. The three year old is sick. The 12 year old boy has a bad sun burn. The 13 year old in the hospital with complications to a in and out day surgery. Now whats a guy going to do? Go fisin right? I did---had fun--if your going to be miserable you might as well have some fun. I also worked on Mr. Bluebird sky with the bright sun to get that working a little better on exposure. I think I got close John and Brett? Let me do it myself Dad! from the three year old She along with the 12 year old caught a bunch of little smallies and had a blast. Everyone forgot they were sick. Even caught some on the top with a Turk's. Here is the sun shot. I need more work on this but I think I got alot closer this time thanks to John's and Brett's help. Closing out the evening of a great day
  4. I sayyyy hummmm Yellowstone Cutty
  5. Sounds all technical to me I tried shooting some sky on saturday while guiding. I will post some when I get a little more time. I had mixed results but overall better. I tried playing with the suggestions you and Brett made. Still need more work thanks for checking in and offering suggestions and appreciate the help
  6. John Awesome pictures and looks like a great place to get some neat shots. Not to mention some great memories. It's always good to go back and live those again. My favorite is the sunset with the sun star. Love sunsets and the colors and you captured them well. I'm still working on the sun stars. I do love the early morning mist and the canoe along with the tent and the light inside. Have lots of memories of those days of back packing/camping. Good times
  7. Nice photos!! Great Job!!
  8. Just little ones I did wrestle with a few though and lost the battle. They spit me out on some belly rolls
  9. I'm learning on how to get my shy shots to look better and factor in all the exsposure and other elements. These I think are getting better but still need some work. This is an evening shot this last weekend in between storms the last two weeks. Any ideas how I could have made this one come out better? The next one is one of my fishing buddies with his rod bent. The sky is okay I think? however he is not exposed well. Any ideas? The next are just a few fish shots that I thought came out ok? Hope you enjoy. It was an awesome day out on the water. Any suggestions, ideas or crtiques are always welcome. Still trying to get a handle on all these photo elements I have some others loaded on the blog if your interested in seeing the others. thanks ahead of time and appreciate your help a bunch!
  10. Hi FTP I found some info on the net with some help of some other guys on a fly fishing forum. It is a Snake Fly and its from Europe. It's from the Lace Wing Caddis family I guess. Here is the link. http://www.kendall-bioresearch.co.uk/neurop.htm

  17. Anyone know what this is?? It kind of looks like a Mutant caddis of sorts. I know it's not but not sure what it is at this point. Ended up being kind of a cool picture though and thought I would share it. I don't have a Macro Lense so it's the best I could do.
  18. Little different color than our Heron's but nice capture. Keep the photo's coming.
  19. Great capture! It looks awesome.
  20. Thanks letumgo. We do get some nice sunsets. Glad you liked the shot and the rest that have been posted. I almost didn't get the shot. I just happened to go outside and noticed it. I then drove like a mad man to get to a place to take the photo with a half decent background. I think people are starting to think Im a little nuts when I'm driving fast then pull over real quick and pop out with a camera. I have gotten some strange looks
  21. I like the winter sunrise and would agree that it is pretty. I would love to come back that way in the fall. The whole North East corner just has some really nice fall and winter pictures. Keep them coming. I hope others will join us.
