  1. This is my favorite combination of color for pike. Another good fly. Bouface is lighter than buuny bug but on ather side marabou is not so durable on pike teeth as rabbit strips.
  2. Good work Redwing1! I like to use bunny flies for pike, becous they have great movement and pike love it. The contrast combination of colors like: white/red, yellow/red, salmon pink/white, chatruze/white orange/yellow..... are good for cloudy days with little sun lights, but when is sunny day and when wather is clear best color is black with little red or chartruse deatil.
  3. I must try this flies. Good work Joe Hard
  4. The wather is not so salt like you expected, but is salt. Pike can be found in sea all over south coast of Sweden and on lagunas of big europs rivers like Danube, Volga, Ural.
  5. Intersting tying technique, and grat perch pattern. I must try ty something like that.
  6. The wather is salta, and pikes lives on open sea. When I say coars, I means bay. Bottom is rocky or muddy, only on few location was send. For me it was wery strange to see a reed on sea, and fishing a pike, all landscape looks like a lake!
  7. Yes! But not all pikes we catch are so beautiful! On secound day of fishing my friend catch one unhealthy pike with something like tumor on body beetwen fins. He take pictures with his camera, I whil ask him to give me that picture to share it with you.
  8. Try with zonker-strips! Zonker strips have grat action and movement better than any silicon. On a middle of strip glue with some soft glue a pice of 30lb mono, and you will have good Wacky Worm imitation.
  9. We fishing for pike on coars of baltic sea. It was a great fan to catch 7-8 or more fish for one day of fishing in very shallow wather. Average is 2-4kg but we catch few fish bigger than 6kg.
  10. Few pictures from my fishing trip in sweden:
  11. I usually use "shooting head" sistem for pike fishing but in spring better choice is WF line. In this period of year I easy locat pike and the cast must be much gently, 1-3feet in front of fish, and I don't need extra long casts. I try few lines but have a problem especial with heavy large flies, like my favourite bunny bug. The line don't have power to turn over big fly. What fly line you recomented to me? What about clear lines?
  12. This one is my favourit clouser. I use polarfiber for wings, stick prismatic eyes over bead chain and make epoxy head. It's not look like clouser but it is.
  13. This one is made from cristal flash.
  14. Did anyone made good pattern with this type of action?
  15. I like to use mono weedguard, and I think that wire weedguard is to heavy for clousers flies. When the hook is up-said-down the leader is some kain of weedguard, but when fly sinking they are not weedles. I like to make epoxy head (over lead eye's or bead-chain )on my clouser and add big stick-on eyes. Big eyes are target for many predators like LM and Pike. Also fly is more durability, and look realistic.
  16. Wrap loop around hook and wrap finsh. It's look ugly, but shape head with sharp scissors.Let few long fibers on beck. Stick eyes, and the fly is finished. You see it is not a big deal!!!
  17. Make dubing loop and add polar fibre.
  18. Tie needle wiht marabou on top.
  19. Put hook in vise and do same procedure like on needle.
  20. Add few stans of flash and wrap finish.
  21. When rich end of marabou feather make few wraps and then trim the rest of feather.
  22. wrap marabou, but allways pull fibres to tail
  23. tie marabou feather like this on needle
  24. step-by-step put needle in vise
