    Greendrake

    Just thought id show you all this pic. the greendrakes are just starting to come off the trout will start to make the most of it in a day or two good times ahead
  5. Heres a few What does he use as a sub for his sparkle yarn?? do the short line nymph methods he popularized work as well for browns as they do grayling. If so whats the best time to fish them?? try and think of more
  6. Tinman i have used devcon 5 minute epoxy. Dispense equal amounts of resin and hardener and mix well. apply it in small amounts. hopes this helps.
  7. hi ed i just tried salt water flyfishing last summer and my experience is very limited. my main target is bass but is is possible to catch sea trout, mullet and mackerel. there is a close season for bass from may 15 to june 15 i have a steep learning curve to go through in the next few months

    nice flies tcr my local sea lake has lots of sea trout but they seem hard to catch i only fished in summer in middle of day is late evening better all the best john
  9. hi everyone took up swff last summer but only used shop bought flies, no confidence in them. wasnt terribly sucessful have tying my own this year to try again this summer hope they do the business all the best John

  12. Hi everyone Thsi is an untried fly for the greendrake hatch but im sure it will work. the hackle i have are a little long so i may tie them half circle next time. i reckon greendrake hatch in 2 weeks time, cant wait. better get tyin all the best John

Hello haha I use a pattern for the green dranke hatch as follows. tail and wing are of natural brown bucktail the body is a finger mix of olive and yellow dubbing. the hackles are a blue dun with an olive wound through followed by a yellow wound through. the hacklinf comes from a pattern called the mosely mayfly hope this is of use
